Since 2008, Teen-Train, Inc. has offered the STARS Program. This summer youth development program for high schoolers emphasizes academic enrichment, STEM education, college and career readiness, and leadership training for high school-aged students.

Soaring To Achieve Real Success! That’s what STARS is about. From our mission to our staff and educators, our goal is to provide practical strategies that young people can use in their daily professional lives. Our curriculum covers topics ranging from STEM robotic programming, resumé writing, character building, business etiquette, and even how to fill out a college application. Our mission is to expose urban and suburban youth to effective career and college preparation, planning, and implementation strategies.
We believe that our program truly is unique. Not only do we train youth to be ready both academically and professionally but we also reward them for doing so. Similar to how the business environment works, our students are given the opportunity to earn while they learn. We also take our students on exposure outings to expand their learning and career interests.

Individual Services
Leadership & Mentoring
Student Leadership & Mentoring Workshops are provided to engage, challenge, and develop youth in areas of leadership, effective communication skills, networking and self-marketing, self-esteem/self-image development, decision-making/healthy choices, and teamwork and community-building skills.
Postsecondary Support
Workshops and individual sessions designed to assist and support students and families with the FAFSA application process, while providing students with training, guidance, and direction to identify, research, and obtain various postsecondary options: two-year and four-year colleges, vocational and apprenticeship programs, career exploration, and internship programs.
Resumé Building and Career Placement
Workshops and individual sessions are available to guide students in the job and career exploration process while building effective and professional resumes.
